Rector’s announcement regarding the epidemic threat of the coronavirus disease
Due to the current situation in Poland and in the world, the Team for Monitoring and Coordination of Epidemic Response (appointed by the Rector’s Order No. 11/2020 of 4 March 2020) resolves to suspend until further notice:
- all events, functions, internal and external conferences organized by the Rzeszów University of Technology,
- all events, functions and conferences organized and co-organized by external entities at the Rzeszów University of Technology
- visits of foreign guests at the Rzeszów University of Technology,
- all foreign trips of employees, students and doctoral students of the Rzeszów University of Technology.
The organisers are obliged to cancel or postpone the listed events, functions, conferences and visits to a later date.
The above decisions are dictated by the growing epidemic threat caused by the coronavirus.
Pursuant to the Rector’s Order No. 12/2020, due to the growing epidemic threat caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus posing a direct risk to human life and health, and thus necessitating measures to reduce the risk of spreading the disease, all employees, students and doctoral students of the Rzeszów University of Technology, as well as participants of postgraduate programs, courses and training, returning to Poland from foreign trips - regardless of their place of residence abroad or the purpose of their trip - are obliged to undergo an absolute 14-day home quarantine, starting from the day of their return to Poland.
The same applies to employees, students and doctoral students of the Rzeszów University of Technology, as well as participants of postgraduate programs, courses and training who remain in shared households with people returning from abroad - also regardless of their place of residence abroad or the purpose of their trip.
All employees, students and doctoral students of the Rzeszów University of Technology, as well as participants of postgraduate programs, courses and training, are obliged to follow a uniform procedure in accordance with the recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Inspector (GIS), i.e.:
People with symptoms of an upper respiratory tract infection with a body temperature > 37.5 ° C:
- should notify the sanitary and epidemiological station (by phone, and report to the infectious diseases hospital) if they have returned from abroad in the last 14 days or have had contact with a sick person with a confirmed infection,
- should remain at home, contact the doctor by phone, and, if necessary, seek medical attention from a primary care physician if they have not had contact with patients with COVID 19, or have not travelled to areas of the virus transmission.
Employees, students and doctoral students of the Rzeszów University of Technology returning from trips abroad are obliged to immediately notify:
- the deans or deputy deans and the Chancellor - in case of students and doctoral students
- direct superiors and the Chancellor - in case of employees.
Information about the place of stay and the date of return should be provided by phone or by e-mail to the appropriate addresses of deans, deputy deans or superiors and to the Chancellor at: ra@prz.edu.pl.
